This machine is doing a great job of allowing me to ice my new knee after TKR. Using freezer packs to chill water which is easier and more convenient than reloading ice. Absolutely NO COMPLAINTS.
My family member isn’t going to use it because another product was recommended by his surgeon. What was totally surprising is your return policy. It’s disproportionally expensive requiring a 20% restocking fee, not typical and unfair to your customers. I’ll never order anything from you again. You aren’t costumer friendly especially at a time when your customers are injured and would benefit most from some kindness from an organization that is supposed to support healing. It doesn’t suit you well.
As I wrote previously, this isn't the first Breg Polar Care ice machine we have. The previous machine was used to ice 4 knee replacements and 1 ankle surgery. It is still working great, but, it's showing it's age and the knee pad and tubing needed to be replaced. The new machine is working great, but I would like the ice catcher thing that was inside to be put on again. It made it easier to pour off the water and add more ice.
I borrowed this machine from a physical therapist I work with. I don’t know how long she had it but following my knee replacement I took it to the hospital with me where I kept it on for almost 24 hours, the staff filling it with ice for me. I came home and used it almost nonstop because my pain was poorly managed by medication. I did not realize I was overdoing it and I finally burned out the motor. I have just bought two, one to replace hers and one for me. I can’t sleep unless I have it on for at least 2 to 3 hours when I go to bed. It works better than any medication. I thought the 24 hour pain was going to drive me crazy! This machine got me through the misery of three months of knee pain. I was so glad she introduced me to this cryotherapy machine. It was a lifesaver! My pain has subsided, but the swelling is still there so I am continuing to use it. I give it five stars without any hesitation.
I haven’t tried it yet as my surgery is next week. I’ll have a better view after July 4th with two weeks of treatment.
